Enabling Offline Mode:
If you are using a macOS device or Windows via desktop or tablet device, you can install Beacon as a Chrome Browser application to utilize offline. Please see below for a step-by-step guide to enable this feature.
1. Open Google Chrome and go to the URL (https://beacon.alucio.io)
2. Once logged into Beacon, select your Profile initials in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and select "Account Profile".
3. In the "Beacon App" tab, select the "Activate" button.
4. Once the downloading starts, you will see an "Install" icon appear on the right side of the address bar.
5. Select the "Install" icon.
6. Upon installing, the Beacon icon will appear on your device, and you are ready to use Beacon offline.
Offline Mode Best Practice:
We advise users to enable offline mode the day before an engagement to ensure all content can be properly synced for offline use. Once all your content is synced, we encourage you to test this by turning off your wifi on your laptop and accessing your content.
How do I know if all my content has synced for offline use?
After online mode has been enabled, your content will begin to sync (this can take some time depending on how many documents you have) for offline use. When all documents have synced, you will see a green check mark on your top navigation pane indicating that all content will be available offline. To confirm this, please toggle off your wifi and confirm you are able to see all content.
